Crime Miniseries Adolescence Becomes a Netflix Sensation

The four-part minisies investigate the juvenile crime and are capable of doing shocking tasks of the young criminals of violence.

Adolescents are a British crime drama that saves the story of storytelling, uncertain moments and an eyeless atmosphere. Premier on Netflix on March 13, 2025, the series quickly attracted the attention of the audience, which reached the top of the most seen ranking of Netflix. Its success is not only due to acute subject matter, depicted with raw authenticity, but also excellent performance from artists.

The story follows an unimaginable crisis family-13-year-old Jamie Miller (starred by Owen Cooper) has been accused of killing a classmate. As the case comes up, the series faces police, society and even her family. Taking inspiration from real -world issues, adolescents throw light on the upset effects that shape the youth of today.


Stephen Graham, both leading the series and producer, spoke to BBC News about the inspiration of the show. “In the last decade, we have seen tragic cases, where young boys have committed terrible crimes against young girls. Some of these cases have influenced me deeply,” they revealed in an interview.
