More than 20 flights were canceled on Monday at Gatwick Airport.

Operations at Gatwick Airport near London have resumed normal activity after four days of disruptions caused by heavy fog, the airport announced Monday. The news was reported by DPA and PA Media.

Earlier on Monday, over 20 flights were canceled due to the reduced visibility. The United Kingdom’s second-busiest airport had experienced interruptions in service since last Friday.

Air traffic control provider NATS stated later on Monday that weather conditions had significantly improved. However, travelers were advised to confirm flight details with their airlines as a precaution. Meanwhile, Heathrow Airport, the UK’s busiest, reported operating under normal conditions. Severe weather also caused disruptions on the A66 motorway in both directions due to high winds.
