Is your Instagram feed full of clutter? A new feature lets you reset the algorithm

Spread the love

Instagram is rolling out a “Reset” feature designed to help users regain control over their feeds and tailor content to better reflect their current interests and interactions.

With just a few clicks, users will be able to refresh their feed, explore page, and Reels recommendations to ensure posts align with their preferences. Meta, Instagram’s parent company, shared in a statement:
“We want to ensure everyone, especially teenagers, has access to safe, positive, and age-appropriate content on Instagram, making their time on the platform feel worthwhile.”

How the Reset Works

When you opt to reset your feed, Instagram will start tailoring recommendations based on new accounts and content you engage with moving forward. The platform will also prompt you to review your list of followed accounts to further refine your updated experience.

While Meta is still testing this feature, reports suggest it will be rolled out globally in the near future.
