Meta plans to invest over €60 billion in AI by 2025.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to make significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI) development this year.

“This year will be crucial for AI,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Friday, revealing plans to allocate between €57.3 billion and €62.07 billion to AI infrastructure.

According to Meta, the investment plan includes building a data center large enough to cover a significant portion of Manhattan, New York. In 2024, the company reportedly invested an estimated $38 billion to $40 billion in AI development.

With this latest announcement, Meta joins other major U.S. tech giants in ramping up AI investments. Leading cloud service providers—Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and Google—have already revealed their plans to invest tens of billions of dollars in expanding AI-powered data centers this year.
