A new documentary titled Titan is set to premiere on Netflix later this year, exploring the events surrounding the tragic Titan submersible disaster.

The film will recount the harrowing story of the Titan, which lost contact on June 18, 2023, during a dive to the wreck of the Titanic. All five people on board, including the submersible’s owner, tragically perished.

According to Netflix, Titan will delve into the journey that ended in tragedy and highlight the visionary ambitions of Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate. The documentary will explore his bold mission to revolutionize deep-sea exploration and the fateful expedition that neither the vessel nor its crew were fully prepared for.
