New Tinder feature might get you more matches

If you’re among the minority who upload high-quality photos to your dating profile, you’ve likely encountered the frustration of seeing blurred and poorly lit images. Tinder is stepping in to help.

The popular dating app will soon introduce an AI tool called Photo Selector, designed to assist users in selecting their best photos, increasing the chances of getting more matches.

By simply uploading a photo of your face, the tool will scan your gallery to identify all the images featuring you, as reported by The Verge. It will then select the top 10 based on criteria such as lighting and composition. The AI has been trained to recognize what works well on Tinder and can also filter out photos that violate the platform’s guidelines, such as nudity.

“I genuinely believe AI can help our users create better profiles in a more efficient way that truly highlights their personalities,” says Match Group CEO Bernard Kim.

The global launch of this new Tinder feature is expected by the end of this summer. Until then, you might want to discuss your photo choices with friends.
