
A passenger train traveling from Debrecen to Tiszalök collided with a truck carrying poultry on Monday in the town of Tiszavasvári, located in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, eastern Hungary.
The crash left three men with minor injuries.According to szon.hu, emergency crews transported the injured members of the train crew to the hospital. The impact caused the train’s engine car to derail.
The accident triggered a large emergency response involving three ambulances, two rescue helicopters, and firefighters from the nearby town of Hajdúnánás. Firefighters also transferred the poultry from the damaged truck to another vehicle, as many of the animals had spilled onto the road.
Rail service between Tiszalök and Tiszavasvári has been temporarily suspended.
