Pope Francis’s last wish and will
The Vatican also made public the last desire of the heavenly Pope, a deep spiritual and personal documents that focus on his devotion to Virgin Mary. Below is the complete English translation of their will:
“Misrando Etigando
In the name of the holiest Trinity. Amen.
As I think I want to express my finals near the sunset of my worldly life, and in the eternal life, I want to express my finals that will be completely about the location of my burial.
I have always entrusted my life and my priest and episcopal service to the virgin Mary, our Lord’s mother. Therefore, I request that my worldly Santa Maria rests in Maggi’s Papal Basilica, waiting for the day of revival.
I wish my last worldly visit to end in this ancient Marion Sanctuary, where I always pray at the beginning and end of each epostolic mission, hand over my intentions to the mother and thank her for my kind and mother care.
I ask that between my grave Polina Chapel (Salus Populi Romani) and Sforza Chapel, be prepared in the side corridor, as indicated in the attached plan.
The tomb is to be simple, in the ground, without decoration, only an inscription: Franciscus.
My funeral and expenses for burial will be covered by a donor’s fund which I nominated for Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Magior. Specific instructions in this regard have been given to Monsignor Lolandas Makricas, Special Commissioner of Libraian Chapter. ,
The will of Pope Francis reflects the humility and devotion that marked his sinner – a service, simplicity and a deep marian belief.
