The retro silhouette arrives in a gray-black color scheme, with the entire campaign embodying the slogan ‘Rebel like the OG.’
Travis Scott plans to make a comeback on all fronts in 2023, following the announcement of his highly anticipated album, Utopia, and continuing his collaboration with Nike.
After the recent modification of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP sneakers in an olive colorway, the rapper now showcases the retro Nike Mac Attack silhouette from 1984 in a fresh design, alongside the legendary American tennis player, John McEnroe. In the advertising spot, both demonstrate their skills with a tennis racket, while the entire campaign stays true to the slogan ‘Rebel like the OG,’ emphasizing the bold shapes of the sneakers.”
McEnroe’s presence in the advertisement is not coincidental, as the sneakers featured were the ones he used to wear during his heyday on the ATP circuit. The decision to bring back this legendary model to store shelves was prompted by Scott’s appearance at the Miami Grand Prix sporting the OG pair with a reversed logo, which may hint at a future release or a special edition for the rapper’s friends and family from Houston.
This fresh release features a leather upper in a gray-black color scheme, complemented by a durable rubber outsole. The Nike Mac Attack sneakers will be available for purchase at Nike stores and authorized retailers starting from June 23. The pricing information is not currently available.
