The unexpected news about the actress’s name was essentially first announced by actor Nathan Fielder, who co-stars with her in the TV hit “The Curse”.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar-winning Hollywood star Emma Stone revealed that her real name is not Emma, but Emily. The 35-year-old star said she would like people to address her that way, as reported by Ladbible.com.

The unexpected news was essentially first announced by actor Nathan Fielder, who co-stars with her in the TV hit “The Curse”. “Before we continue, I’d like to say something,” Fielder addressed the interviewer conducting the interview. The actor then revealed that Emma Stone’s real name is Emily. “Emma” is just her professional moniker.

The original reason Stone chose the name Emma was that another actress had already claimed her real name. That actress was the first member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), so Stone had to change her professional name. Stone said it would be “quite nice” if people started addressing her by her real name.
