The Italian car manufacturer has strict requirements for its clients. Those who fail to meet them can receive a lifetime ban from purchasing their luxury cars.
It’s not enough to simply have the money to buy a Ferrari. To purchase a luxury sports car from the Italian automaker, you must meet certain conditions and adhere to strict rules. Some celebrities have violated these stringent rules and, as a result, are on the so-called “blacklist,” which means they can no longer purchase any Ferrari from an official dealer.
Ferrari is particularly sensitive about modifications to their models. According to Autoevolution, once you buy one of their cars, you are not allowed to make any modifications. This includes changes to the car’s color or engine. Under no circumstances can you cover their iconic emblem of the black horse on a yellow background.
As reported by Unilad, Canadian singer Justin Bieber broke one of the basic rules. He originally purchased a Ferrari 458 Italia F1 Edition in white. However, he decided to experiment and repainted it blue, which landed him on the blacklist. The portal also mentions Kim Kardashian, who allegedly didn’t take proper care of her car. Ferrari insists that owners maintain their models to a high standard.
Rapper 50 Cent ended up on the blacklist after criticizing Ferrari on Facebook four years ago. His car’s battery died, and he posted a photo of the towed car with the caption: “I don’t want this Ferrari 488 anymore, I think I’m gonna get a smart car.” This post angered the car manufacturer, resulting in a lifetime ban from purchasing any model from them.
