Looks like Margot Robbie is set to anchor another comic book role after Harley Quinn. Variety reports that she’s most likely to play the heroine named Avengelyne.

Not only will Robbie play the lead role, but she will also produce the entire project with her company, LuckyChap Productions. The script will likely be penned by the excellent Tony McNamara, known for his work on films like Cruella, The Favourite, and The Lobster, which have earned him Oscar nominations.

The story of Avengelyne revolves around a fallen angel expelled from heaven and sent to Earth to fight monsters and various other hellish creatures, possibly even Satan himself. However, after her expulsion from heaven, Avengelyne loses most of her supernatural abilities, although she retains superhuman strength.

The project sounds promising on paper (a bit reminiscent of the comic book character Constantine), and we’re excited to see talented creators working on it. Let’s see how it turns out.
