In a move that brings together two giants in their respective industries, Nike and Lego have announced an exciting new collaboration.
This partnership aims to blend the worlds of creative play and sports, offering fresh opportunities for kids and families worldwide.
Lego’s Vice President of Brand Development, Alero Akuya, shared the company’s enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to partner with Nike on this journey and to reimagine how creative play and sports can come together. Together, we will create unique experiences that engage and inspire children across the globe to explore their imagination.”
Starting in 2025, the two companies plan to launch a series of co-branded products. While details on the specific items are still under wraps, the project, known as LEGO x Nike, is geared towards advocating for children’s right to play, according to Highsnobiety.
Though this is the first collaboration between Nike and Lego, the latter has previously teamed up with Nike’s main competitor, Adidas, in 2021. That partnership saw the creation of block-themed products, including clothing and sneakers. In the past, Lego has also partnered with other major brands, such as Manchester United, to release special edition sets, like the iconic Old Trafford stadium from the Premier League.
