Skoda revealed the refreshed models of Scala and Kamiq

Roughly four years after their market debut, we will get to see the updated versions of the Scala and Kamiq models. Ahead of Skoda’s unveiling of their two key releases this year, the completely new Superb and Kodiaq, minor enhancements will be given to the other two models in their portfolio.

On August 1st, the Czech manufacturer will reveal the facelifted versions of the compact vehicles, Scala and Kamiq, which have consistently been among the best-selling cars in our market. After approximately four years since their introduction, we will now witness their modernized designs, reflecting the brand’s current design direction and incorporating more contemporary features in their equipment.

Before the actual unveiling takes place, Škoda is treating us to the first official sketches that clearly highlight the changed details. Both models will undergo changes primarily in the front, where they will adopt more dynamic lines. The Scala will feature narrower headlights with a new design, and it can be presumed that more sophisticated LED technology will be included in the equipment. The front grille will also undergo changes with a new insert, and the most significant difference will be seen in the front bumper, which will take on a sportier shape. Rear modifications will also be evident, with the rear bumper showing more contours, and subtle retouches will be noticed in the taillights.

The modernized crossover, Kamiq, will follow a similar style. It will receive bumpers with more dynamic lines, complemented by silver panels in their lower sections, adding to the overall visual impact. While the rear LED lights will undergo minor enhancements, the front lights will see more substantial changes – Kamiq will continue to have split headlights, but the upper part will be significantly narrower vertically, and the lower part wider horizontally.

The upper strip of daytime LED lighting will still be integrated directly into the grille, which will adopt a more angular shape with a new U-shaped pattern. As for the interior, Škoda has not yet revealed anything, but it can be assumed that there will only be cosmetic improvements related to the equipment rather than the design. No major technical changes are expected either.
