Actress Maya Hawke, who plays Robin in Stranger Things, revealed exciting details about the show’s highly anticipated fifth and final season during an appearance on the Podcrushed podcast, as reported by Mediaklik.
According to Hawke, each episode will be feature-length, offering fans an experience akin to watching eight movies. “We’re essentially making eight films. The episodes are very long,” she shared, hinting at Netflix’s ambitious production plans for a grand conclusion.
High-Quality production
The fifth season is being filmed throughout 2024, with creators dedicating meticulous attention to every detail to ensure the story of Hawkins and its residents ends on a high note. “They’re very intense and serious when it comes to the quality of their writing, which is why it takes so long to write and shoot each season,” Hawke explained.
More ways to experience the story
While fans eagerly await the new season, they can immerse themselves in the Stranger Things universe in other ways. The story is also coming to life on stage at London’s Phoenix Theatre, where Stranger Things: The First Shadow offers a fresh perspective on the beloved world. The play runs through February 2025.
Netflix promises the final season will deliver an intense and emotional experience, capping off the series in spectacular fashion.
