As part of the M Performance program, BMW has introduced additional visual enhancements for the 5 Series.

It was only a matter of time before BMW, following the introduction of the completely new 8th generation of the 5 Series, unveiled a novelty featuring M Performance elements. That moment has now arrived, as both the 5 Series and its electric derivative, the i5, have received a comprehensive package of visual add-ons and enhancements. These enhancements are available regardless of the engine variant, but the M or M Pro sport packages are mandatory. All accessories are compatible exclusively with the visual sport package, enhancing its sporty appearance even further.

All components are crafted from CFRP material, which is plastic reinforced with carbon fibers. To achieve a high-quality finish, a clear coat is applied to each accessory. The front of the body is characterized by the distinctive, racing-oriented look provided by the four-piece front extensions. More pronounced side sills with additional aerodynamic elements have been added, while the rear features a subtle spoiler and a three-piece diffuser made from aramid fiber.

Interestingly, the rear spoiler is also available with the base coat, as per your preference. Optional matte anthracite-colored strips on the sides contribute to the body’s enhanced slimness, displaying the M Performance inscription. Completing the range of exterior enhancements are the covers for the exterior side mirrors and the antenna.

These individual enhancements are designed not only for visual appeal but also for aerodynamic functionality. Moreover, they are approved according to strict quality standards. Since they have undergone homologation together with the entire vehicle, there is no need to re-register them with authorities. As the finishing touch, the impressive lightweight alloy wheels are offered in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches, available in various colors, styles, and with glossy or matte surface finishes. The larger wheels allow the installation of the more powerful 20-inch M Performance braking system, featuring red-painted calipers. The six-piston aluminum front brakes and single-piston rear calipers provide ample braking force for a sporty driving style.

While BMW has not yet provided a preview of all the interior accessories, the new business sedan can be equipped with stylish door sill plates that highlight the entry into the vehicle when the doors are opened, unequivocally showcasing its sporty character. A sporty touch is added to the footwell with velour carpets featuring synthetic leather edges and decorative stitching in contrasting colors. The two front carpets of the four-piece set bear an embroidered M Performance inscription and the flag in characteristic M colors.
