The new iOS update is disastrous: People are seeing photos in their gallery that were deleted years ago.

Apple has yet to comment on the matter, and the issue remains a mystery.

The new iOS 17.5 update hasn’t introduced any groundbreaking features, but it has raised concerns among iPhone owners. After updating the operating system, users have reported seeing photos in their gallery that were deleted years ago.

This glitch raises many valid questions about how Apple handles photo data. In terms of security and privacy, iPhone owners are now doubtful whether they can truly trust that their deleted data is permanently removed, according to The Verge. Normally, deleted photos are backed up for only 30 days, after which they are moved to the “Recently Deleted” folder and then permanently removed. It’s unclear why users are seeing photos that were supposedly deleted years ago. Some report seeing images they deleted 14 years ago, while others say they can’t delete photos at all.

Apple has not yet addressed the incident. The new update also has other problems, with users complaining that iOS 17.5 drains the battery faster.
