The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has set a new cap on ticket prices for the 2023/24 Champions League season, limiting away tickets to £60.
UEFA has also announced plans to lower the cap further in the 2025/26 season to £50, which is approximately €60.
This marks the first time UEFA has adjusted ticket prices since 2019, when it initially set a limit of €70 for away fans. The new pricing cap is the result of consultations between UEFA, Football Supporters Europe (FSE), and the European Club Association (ECA).
For the current season, tickets for Europa League matches will be capped at €40, while tickets for the Europa Conference League will cost no more than €20. According to reports from DPA, the price limit for the Europa League is expected to drop to €35 in the future.
“Today’s decision represents a significant step in reaffirming UEFA’s commitment to making the matchday experience accessible to every fan. By implementing more fan-friendly policies, we continue our mission to maintain football as an inclusive sport, ensuring that fans who travel to support their teams across Europe are valued and respected,” said UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.
