Cristiano Ronaldo has teamed up with the world’s biggest YouTuber, MrBeast, in his latest video.
While the announcement excited many fans, some were disappointed—they had hoped the mystery guest would be Lionel Messi.
The football legend recently launched his own YouTube channel, attracting an astonishing 60 million subscribers within a month. This achievement broke the record previously held by Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, who gained “only” 20 million subscribers in the same timeframe. Ronaldo had teased his audience with promises of a high-profile guest to “break the internet,” and it turned out to be none other than MrBeast.
A Conversation Between Giants
During the video, MrBeast admitted he was surprised by how quickly Ronaldo amassed such a massive subscriber base. Ronaldo responded with a playful question: “Do you think I’ll beat you?” referencing MrBeast’s current status as the most-subscribed YouTuber with over 330 million followers.
Donaldson acknowledged that it was possible, especially given Ronaldo’s staggering 1 billion followers on Instagram—a world record. He also shared advice on how Ronaldo could grow his channel further. Among his tips were inviting other prominent figures as guests, sharing post-match thoughts, or reacting to his best goals.
“I’d focus more on football-related content because that’s why we love you,” MrBeast suggested, encouraging Ronaldo to leverage his unparalleled global fame.
