Netflix’s latest horror film, Time Cut, starring Madison Bailey, has taken the platform by storm, although viewer reactions have been lukewarm, according to reviews.
Time Cut follows Lucy Field, a teenage girl who travels back to 2003 via a time machine to prevent her sister’s murder. Madison Bailey stars in the lead role, with Hannah Macpherson directing. The cast also includes Michael Shanks, Griffin Gluck, and Antonia Gentry.
However, reviews on Rotten Tomatoes suggest the film hasn’t resonated with audiences. “There’s so little fun here; it feels like everyone is just going through the motions,” critics remarked. Viewers on Letterboxd expressed similar sentiments, rating the film at only 2.1 out of 5 stars.
One user joked about the film’s lackluster reception, saying, “Things I’d do if I had a time machine: buy Bitcoin for pennies, stop Hitler, ride a T-Rex, and rewind the last 91 minutes to watch something else.”
