The craziest action comedy releases official trailer

Action comedies are trending right now, and following Netflix’s recent hit “The Killer in Disguise,” rival streaming service Apple+ is set to respond in August with its new release, “The Instigators,” for which the official trailer has just been unveiled.

They grew up together as young boys in Boston and now they’re returning to pull off a crazy heist. Casey Affleck, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck are well-known in the film industry as best friends since childhood, a friendship that has led to several successful film projects, including the Oscar-winning “Good Will Hunting.”

The trio reunites in “The Instigators,” with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck taking the lead roles. They were last seen together in last year’s top film, “Oppenheimer.” This time, Ben Affleck steps into the role of producer. Matt Damon plays a somewhat unconventional role as Rory, a man financially ruined by debts and a high mortgage. Desperate to provide for his son, he decides to turn his dire situation around by committing a robbery.

Helping him with the heist is ex-convict Cobby (Casey Affleck), and together they plan to rob a corrupt mayoral candidate. As is typical in this genre, nothing goes according to plan, and the duo finds themselves on the run not only from the police but also from corrupt officials and the criminal underworld.

The first trailer showcases the film’s refined and high-quality technical style, blending perfect action with high-quality humor. Matt Damon’s clumsy crash course in crime, taught by his criminal partner Cobby, promises to be a highlight.

Besides the leading duo, the film features other star-studded names such as Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, and Ron Perlman. “The Instigators” will be available to Apple TV+ subscribers starting August 9.
