On the French side of Mont Blanc, a 34-year-old man from Paris also met a fatal end, plummeting several meters near the Italian border. The climber was not secured by a rope, as reported by APA. The alert was raised by his companion, who was with him at the time. The body was located using a rescue helicopter from Chamonix.

Another climber fell into a canyon from a massif under the Gonella hut; rescue teams have yet to locate this individual.

Mont Blanc, straddling the border between France and Italy, is the tallest mountain in the Alps, standing at 4,805.59 meters according to recent measurements, as noted by APA.
