Armie Hammer is making his return to the screen in Frontier Crucible.
Known for his roles in Call Me by Your Name, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and The Lone Ranger, Armie Hammer’s promising acting career halted three years ago after multiple allegations of cannibalism and assault emerged from several women. Hammer denied the accusations, but the scandal led to the loss of several roles, impacting his career significantly. The investigation, launched in February 2021, was ultimately closed due to insufficient evidence.
Speaking on the Painful Lessons podcast, Hammer expressed gratitude despite the challenges he faced. “Whatever happened, whatever people said, I’m now at a place in my life where I’m grateful for every bit of it,” he shared. He now looks back on the cannibalism allegations with a degree of humor.
“They said, ‘Yeah, that guy eats people.’ I was like, what? You know what it takes to be a cannibal? You have to eat people! It was surreal,” Hammer commented on the podcast.
Hammer is also making his comeback on horseback in Frontier Crucible, a film set in 1870s Arizona. It follows a former soldier haunted by his past. Hammer announced the project on his Instagram profile yesterday.
