Five women, who participated in the filming of a reality show under the direction of Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, have filed a lawsuit against the YouTube star.

Donaldson, the most-watched YouTuber globally and a multimillionaire, is now facing a 54-page lawsuit, according to a report from the BBC. The women involved claim they were mistreated during the production of a Prime Video reality show where 1,000 contestants competed for a $5 million prize.

The lawsuit states that the contestants “suffered, particularly and collectively, in an environment that systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism.” It alleges that the contestants were constantly monitored by the production team, even while sleeping, with little privacy and no access to the outside world.

In addition, the participants were reportedly underfed, receiving food only sporadically. According to The New York Times, which interviewed dozens of contestants, the conditions led to several hospitalizations.

One contestant claimed they went without food for up to 20 hours and did not receive necessary medical care. The environment was allegedly especially hostile toward female participants.
