The highly anticipated fifth season of Stranger Things has taken the internet by storm. Within hours of its release, the Behind The Scenes video amassed millions of views across social media platforms.
The popular American sci-fi horror series is making a comeback, and according to the creators, the final fifth season will conclude the series in grand style. Fans first met the quirky quartet of nerds in July 2016, and now, on the eighth anniversary, the creators and cast proudly reveal glimpses from the filming of the final season.
The video showcases familiar settings from the town of Hawkins and the four boys who were the focal point of the first season. “I’m excited for scenes with the original four,” says Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike.
Besides the thrill of seeing the original cast, fans were also moved by Millie Bobby Brown’s reflection on the series’ beginning. “I started when I was 10, now I’m going to be 20,” says the actress who portrays Eleven.
In addition to the familiar faces, the series will introduce new actors. The sci-fi setting will soon feature newcomers such as Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux. The teaser video also includes a cameo by Linda Hamilton, renowned for her role in Terminator. The directors frequently reference 1980s pop culture, often including actors who were iconic during that era. Who will make an appearance this time?
According to the Duffer Brothers, production is nearing its midpoint, with filming expected to wrap up around Christmas.
While the release date is yet to be announced, fans can eagerly anticipate the new season in 2025.
