Actor from pirates of the caribbean dies after shark attack

49-year-old Tamayo Perry, who worked as a lifeguard for the Hawaiian rescue service, gained fame through his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

On Sunday around 1:00 PM, an ambulance was called to Malaekahana Beach. Perry, who was also a lifeguard, was declared dead by rescuers after being brought ashore on a jet ski.

Perry appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth film in the series. He also acted in the TV shows Lost, Hawaii Five-0, and The Fate of Summer.

Acting head of ocean safety in Honolulu, Kurt Lager, said that Perry was “a rescuer beloved by everyone.”

Tamayo’s personality was infectious, and since people loved him, he loved everyone else even more,” he added. He also expressed their deepest condolences to Tamayo’s family.
