Amsterdam covers full wedding costs – with a highway ceremony requirement

Spread the love

Couples worldwide now have the chance to get married in Amsterdam for free, thanks to a unique offer from the city.

Amsterdam will fully finance the wedding ceremony, transport, and even a professional photographer—but with one unique condition.

This offer is part of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary celebrations, and the wedding must take place at an iconic site within the city: the busy A10 highway, a well-known artery that represents the rhythm of Amsterdam’s daily life.

The city’s celebrations, including available wedding dates, are scheduled for 2025. Couples seeking this extraordinary experience must register in advance. Selected couples will be chosen through an application process, with priority given to those who have compelling stories or historical ties to the city.

Chosen applicants will incur no wedding day costs. The city will provide transportation for guests, cover all legal fees, take care of the decor, and supply a photographer to capture every moment of this exceptional event.
