First minecraft movie trailer released

The blocky world of Minecraft is coming to life. The highly anticipated film will hit theaters on April 4, 2025.

The popular sandbox game Minecraft, first released in 2011, is set to make its big-screen debut with a new animated movie. Minecraft, which holds the title of the best-selling video game of all time with over 300 million copies sold, will serve as the inspiration for the film, titled A Minecraft Movie.

Produced by Warner Bros. and directed by Jared Hess, this film is not just a children’s animation. Instead, it promises to deliver a mix of fun, action, and appearances by some legendary actors. Jason Momoa and Jack Black are among the film’s star-studded cast.


The story will focus on four main characters who are transported into the Minecraft world through a mysterious portal. Once there, they meet a character named Steve, played by Jack Black, who is an expert in navigating the blocky realm. Together, they embark on an adventurous journey to find their way back to the real world. A Minecraft Movie is set to arrive in theaters on April 4, 2025.
