Footballer Erling Haaland has his own character in the mobile game Clash of Clans. He is the first character in this game inspired by and designed after a real person.

The passionate player’s dream has come true. According to The Verge portal, Manchester City forward has been a passionate player and fan of the popular game for many years. He supported it to such an extent that he approached the developers himself and proposed mutual cooperation.

The company Supercell seized the opportunity and created an animated character, the Barbarian King. “When we learned that Erling Haaland is a fan of our game and wants to collaborate with us, it was truly a dream scenario,” said Clash of Clans’ General Manager Stuart McGaw.

I’ve been a huge fan of the game for a long time and know everything about it, so appearing as a character in the game is truly amazing,” praised the 23-year-old Norwegian footballer.

From May 1st to May 31st, players can recruit the footballer to join their side or attempt to destroy his village. In this globally popular fantasy game, players build their own villages and raid others to gain more power. This special “skin” will be available in the game only during May, and players can purchase it for $9.99 (€9.34).

Since its initial release over ten years ago, Clash of Clans has amassed more than two billion downloads.


“I’ve always been a massive fan of the game and know every detail about it, so to actually be a character in it is incredibly exciting,” the young Norwegian footballer exclaims enthusiastically. From the start of May, players have the unique opportunity to either enlist the footballer to fight alongside them or to try and demolish his village. In this widely cherished fantasy game, players meticulously construct their villages and strategize raids against others to enhance their power. This exclusive “skin” will only be accessible during the month of May, and it can be acquired by players for $9.99 (€9.34).

Since its debut more than a decade ago, Clash of Clans has garnered over two billion downloads, making it one of the most successful games in the world.
