
The purpose of a new Spanish law is to criminalization of deepfac pornography and introduce parents’ control on smartphones for better protection of minors.
The Spanish government on Tuesday introduced a draft law, which would make a person’s face or body illegal to use artificial intelligence (AI) to make porn videos for AFP reports, without their consent.
Strengthen legal safety
Justice Minister Felix Bolenos is emphasizing for deep videos of a “sexually or seriously aggressive nature”, which can be classified as a “crime against moral integrity”. The government said that this measure is part of a broad initiative, aimed at “protecting teenagers along with young boys and girls, protecting the right to privacy from the dangers of digital technologies.
This proposal will also be required for smartphones and tablet manufacturers to pre-establish parents’ control systems on their equipment. Additionally, those who affect the Internet will be obliged to implement the “age verification system” for their followers.
AI-Janit exploitation rising cases
Spain has seen many cases of AI-fake nude images of young girls to be broadcast online in recent years. Some of these images have been used for forcible recovery and financial blackmail.
According to a 2019 study by the Dutch Company’s condolences, 96% of the 96% deepfech video on the Internet contains non-consent pornography, with the vast majority targets women.
