The highly anticipated third and final season of the global sensation Squid Game made its debut on Netflix on June 27, and it’s already breaking records left and right.
According to Netflix’s own platform, Tudum, more than 60 million viewers tuned in to watch the new season within just the first three days, making it the biggest series launch in the streaming service’s history. In total, the show amassed over 368 million viewing hours during that time.
It dominated the Netflix charts in all 93 countries where the platform tracks viewership data, achieving something no other series has accomplished so far.
This third season also secured a spot among Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched non-English language series of all time. Its release reignited interest in the first two seasons, both of which climbed back into the platform’s global Top 10 chart.

Fans are especially thrilled about the return of Player 456, with many praising his performance as one of the strongest seen on screen in recent years. This season delves deeper into the psychological intricacies of the characters, the power struggles within the organization, and the worldwide ramifications of the deadly games—bringing a darker, more reflective tone to the explosive finale.
