The filming of the Blade Runner series will soon begin in CZ.

The creators have chosen the city for the Blade Runner 2099 series.

This series is a continuation of the Blade Runner films from 1982 and Blade Runner 2049 from 2017. Jonathan van Tulleken, who recently worked on the Shōgun series, will direct. Ridley Scott, who directed the original 1982 film and was an executive producer for the 2017 film, will be one of the executive producers.

The last film featured Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, and Jared Leto. The upcoming series will star Michelle Yeoh, who won an Oscar for Best Actress in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

No other names have been confirmed yet. Gosling was in Prague in 2021 for the filming of The Gray Man. The series will be produced for Prime by Alcon Entertainment and Ridley Scott Productions, with Film United involved on the Czech side, according to Screen Daily. Filming is set to begin in June at the Barrandov Studios.
