The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere next year.

During Netflix’s Geeked Week, the platform revealed exciting updates on upcoming films and series. Among the announcements were the first behind-the-scenes glimpses of the second season of Wednesday.

The teaser shows the filming process and features director Tim Burton, who also worked on the first season. Morticia, one of the central characters, promises that the new season will be even bigger, with more twists and surprises than fans could imagine.

The 30-second clip highlights most of the main characters from the first season, including Wednesday’s classmates. True to her sarcastic nature, Wednesday delivers an ironic message to fans at the end: “If we showed you more, your eyes would bleed. And I’m not that generous.”

Netflix also confirmed in the teaser that the new season will debut next year. The first season, released in 2022, is an adaptation of the Addams Family story. Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday, whose rebellious nature often lands her in trouble at school and beyond. Despite her tough exterior, she secretly protects her fellow students at the eerie Nevermore Academy.
