Netflix has finally made official what fans have been gossiping about for months now, Lady Gaga is set to star in season two of Wednesday.
Her scenes were allegedly shot within a day in Ireland, which will be her first television stint since she played Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux, which co-stars Joaquin Phoenix.
This latest role contributes to Gaga’s growing acting resume, which encompasses her universally acclaimed turns in House of Gucci (2021) and A Star Is Born (2018). Although she does not appear in the latest teaser trailer, Netflix has now confirmed her involvement in the upcoming season.
Wednesday season 2 is promising a darker tone, shocking twists, and an all-star cast. In classic Netflix style, the second season will be released in two parts Part 1 premieres on August 6, and Part 2 follows on September 3. Based on the first six minutes dropped by Netflix, fans are in for a treat.
The series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and led by Jenna Ortega in the title role, follows Wednesday Addams as she navigates life at Nevermore Academy while learning to control her emerging supernatural powers. In Season 1, she unraveled a chilling murder mystery tied to her parents, Morticia and Gomez Addams, portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán.
